New details are emerging in connection to the arrest of a hurricane relief worker accused of shooting two of his co-workers, killing one.

Ledesma Vonzell Wooden, 24, of Houston was charged with homicide, attempted murder, and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon on Halloween night.

According to an arrest report, Wooden shot his co-workers after being fired from employment and “having to purchase his own transportation ticket from the Greyhound Bus Station.”

The report says Wooden pulled a firearm from one of his personal luggage bags and began firing it toward one of the victims.

Phillip Earl Lydia, 49, of Houston was shot in the leg but released Wednesday. Aija Rai Hunter, 24, of Houston was shot in the abdomen and was later pronounced dead at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center. A third co-worker, Theodies Shepherd, also of Houston, was at the scene of the shooting, but was not hit.

After the shooting, Wooden ran from the scene and was arrested on Elm Street two hours later, a report revealed.

The Fort Walton Beach Police Department has not released the name of the company involved with the relief workers.
