Conor McGregor is all set for his battle with the undeafeat Russian for the lightweight crown early on Sunday morning in the main event of UFC 229.

However, the bout wasn’t official until both men hit the scales.

There were fears that Khabib, who goes into the biggest UFC event of the year on a 26-fight win streak, would fail to come under the limit as he’s suffered difficulties cutting weight in the past.

However, the champion allayed those concerns by stepping on the scale first and weighing in at 155lbs, with McGregor following at half a pound less.

How much will Conor McGregor earn from UFC 229 fight?

McGregor says he will earn approximately half of what he made from his boxing spectacle with Floyd Mayweather last year.

The Irishman earned a reported $100million (£76m) from his bout with the American superstar and, if his claims are to be believed, he is set to take home $50m (£38m) from his clash against Khabib.

“It’s a tasty, tasty, record-breaking deal,” McGregor said.

“It’s give or take [nine figures]. The Mayweather fight was nine figures but we’re almost there, it’s a good, solid eight figures; halfway there.

“We’re all very happy with where we’re at. It’s not what the Mayweather fight was but it’s a good halfway there.”
